Services Dr. Bonilla Offers

Microtia Treatment

Microtia is a congenital ear deformity in which the ear doesn't fully develop during pregnancy. For this procedure, Dr. Bonilla crafts the ear from the child's natural cartilage to treat microtia.

Atresia Treatment

Atresia is the absence of an ear canal that usually accompanies microtia and is associated with moderate to severe conductive hearing loss. For this hearing loss, Dr. Bonilla can place a bone-anchored hearing aid to greatly assist in the hearing. Another option is for a specialized surgeon known as a neurotologist to open up the ear canal. This would depend on the anatomy of the Outer, Middle and Inner Ear.
